Earlier this week, a flight attendant shocked social media users by disclosing her remarkably high monthly income – even though she works just part-time hours.

Josette, hailing from Albuquerque, New Mexico, has spent 14 years working with the local airline Southwest Airlines. She frequently discusses the ups and downs of being a flight attendant on her TikTok channel.

In December 2024, the content creator posted a video on her page @josette_nicole revealing the substantial amount of money she received that month.

The video portrays Josette making a lighthearted face as though she’s looking gloomy, accompanied by extra text stating: “I’m tired of my job… But then I recall my paycheck from last month which amounted to $9980.66.”

As stated by the flight attendant, who provided additional details beneath the video via a caption, her overall income for the month amounted to £7,489.98, which represents her gross salary before deductions.

She added: ‘I work about 150 hours a month. Pay does vary depending on how long you’ve been here and how many hours you work. I am very good at my schedule and get a lot of VJA.’

Over 2000 viewers flocked to the comments to share their shock over the amount Josette had earned in a single month – as some jokingly vowed to switch careers.

One individual commented, “I was under the impression that flight attendants don’t earn much?” While another remarked, “You could make the equivalent salary working in an office for only 35 hours. It’s absurd.”
