MANILA, Philippines – For yet another year, Quezon City is all set to welcome numerous job seekers with myriad employment prospects during its yearly Labor Day Job Fair. The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 1, 2025, running from 9:00 AM until 4:00 PM at the QC M.I.C.E. Center located near City Hall.
This year, about 11,000 employment opportunities will be provided by roughly 100 involved private firms and governmental organizations across different fields and sectors.
“Quezon City invites all job seekers, particularly our QC residents, to seize this chance to kick-start or further their professional journey,” stated Mayor Joy Belmonte of Quezon City.
By hosting this job fair, we are fulfilling our pledge to build a city where all residents have access to good, significant jobs,” she said. “In Quezon City, we view employment as more than just an income; it’s about empowering individuals, providing them with respect, and opening doors to a brighter tomorrow.
In order to assist candidates in efficiently finishing their pre-employment formalities, the city plans to establish an all-in-one service center for governmental needs at the venue.
The onsite services will encompass member registration and identification card distribution for SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and PSA as part of the National ID process.
The QCitizen ID booth will similarly be available forQC residents who require applying for or collecting their QCID cards.
Moreover, delegates from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) will be present to provide essential clearances.
Major employers joining this year’s fair include Abacus Book & Card Corporation (National Bookstore), Andok’s Litson Corporation, Asia Brewery, Inc., Global Officium Limited, Inc. (Hotel SOGO), Max’s Kitchen, Inc., JAC Liner Company, Robinsons Supermarket Corporation, Sanford Marketing Corporation (Savemore Market), Savory Fastfood Inc. (Classic Savory), Super Shopping Market, Inc. (SM Hypermarket), Super Value, Inc. (SM Supermarket), Solaire Resort North, UnionBank, and Zest-O Corporation, among many others.
The top open roles encompass customer service agents, administrative personnel, cash handlers, delivery drivers, food servers, retail promoters, display arrangers, electrical technicians, data entry clerks, and culinary workers, as well as various other positions.
Applicants are advised to bring multiple copies of their updated résumés, a valid ID, and to dress professionally for on-the-spot interviews.
Free résumé printing services will also be available at the venue.
