Carla Abellana
has fallen victim to a food-delivery scam after the rider failed to deliver her order despite having already paid for it.
Abellana shared her experience on Threads as she revealed that she almost was “tricked” into paying a supposed second rider after the first delivery did not arrive.
“I just got scammed by a [foodpanda_ph] rider. Not only did he fail to deliver our paid order, but a supposed second rider called me to say he was delivering our order but I needed to pay COD (cash on delivery). Wow,” she wrote.
In the comments section, netizens also shared that they had the same “negative” experience and encouraged the actress to file a report so she could be refunded.
“Report it to food panda so they can refund you and the rider will be dismissed,” said one netizen.
“It’s been a recurring scam. I hope [foodpanda_ph] implements security measures right away,” pitched in another.
Last month, actress Kristine Hermosa’s sister, Kathleen, also
expressed
her frustration after allegedly being scammed by an online seller.
Hermosa took to her Facebook account to share that she lost almost ₱2,000 after the product was never delivered despite having already paid in advance.
“For a sausage, it’s not cheap. Paid 1,900+ for it. They are great with their modus,” she lamented. “Solution on my part, I prayed for the scammer. I hope the money fed you and your family. I also prayed that you try to find a dignified job because all the money you guys scammed it from are all hard earned money.” /
