San Sebastian College-Recoletos Manila has teamed up with Radenta Technologies to begin integrating artificial intelligence into the school’s academic and administrative systems.
The partnership, formalized in a recent signing ceremony, aims to explore how AI tools can support personalized learning, improve teaching strategies, and streamline campus operations. The initiative includes a comprehensive review of the college’s current tech infrastructure and teaching practices, followed by the development of AI-driven systems tailored to the school’s needs.
Radenta Technologies President Randall Lozano said the goal is to make San Sebastian one of the first AI-ready schools in the country.
“There is a fear that artificial intelligence will replace people,” Lozano said. “What I say is, artificial intelligence will never replace people, but people using artificial intelligence will replace people not using artificial intelligence.”
The project begins with a readiness assessment that looks at hardware, software, data systems, and teaching approaches. From there, the focus will shift to classroom applications, such as adaptive learning tools and AI analytics that help teachers identify student learning patterns and challenges.
On the administrative side, Radenta plans to pilot systems for automating tasks like attendance tracking, scheduling, and report generation. Training for both teachers and administrative staff is part of the rollout.
The final stage of the project involves introducing AI literacy programs for students and helping educators incorporate AI concepts into existing lessons.
Present at the signing were Lozano and San Sebastian officials: Rev. Fr. Rafael Pecson, president; Rev. Fr. Henry Santiago, vice president for finance; and
Rev. Fr. Virgilio Paredes Jr., vice president for identity, formation and mission.
No timeline for full implementation has been announced, but officials said detailed plans and recommendations would follow the initial assessment.
